Software Deployment

Tight Integration with SCCM 2007 and SCCM 2012

Instant or scheduled deployment. Full status visibility.

Software Deployment

Self Service is tightly integrated with SCCM 2007 and SCCM 2012. Self Service provides both instant and scheduled delivery of software through SCCM.

Excluded hours allow you to specify periods of time where users cannot schedule software to be installed on their machine. Wake-on-LAN functionality provides further flexibility.

Self Service can be configured for deployments from either the central site or from primary sites. The online portal can be used for both installation and un-installation requests.

User selects software and gets approval

  • Dynamic approval

Instant or on schedule delivery options

Full status from machine policy success to completion

  • End-user and administrator get notifications on completion
  • History log is maintained
  • End-user can rate the software

Before Self Service, software request delivery duration was dictated by the time I had to service requests. The SLA was 4 days. With Self Service, the turnaround time is less than 10 minutes for items that do not require approval, to a couple of hours for those that have 3 to 5 stages of approval. Jason Andersen
